Blood and tattoos

I have decided to get another tattoo. In all my planning I realized I need to talk to my doctor and make sure I am medically ok to get one.

While waiting for him to call back (and worrying that he would say no because of his religious beliefs) I decided to do some research on the whole thing for myself to see what I could dig up. I found NOTHING.

Its one of the things that frustrates me with not having a "mainstream" disease. It is a pain to find simple things like this out. So I decided to take this into my own hands. From now on I will post when I research something and find nothing and I have to ask/have my own experience with these illnesses.

So the first thing I am looking at is tattoos. I LOVE body art. Really I just love all art, but I do have a love for tattoos. I love to look at them, see the different things I can find, I even love to look at the bad ones. I really love body art. Its lovely.

So. The first thing I did was call my doctor. That is the first thing you do when you have an illness. Even if you find info online, ALWAYS talk to your doctor. ALWAYS!!!!! Be responsible for your health. Talk to them, and don't defy them. They don't go to school for nothing. Think your doctor will give you advice based on their beliefs? Get a new doctor. Seriously. You are paying them for their medical advice.

My doctor grudgingly told me medically speaking, I'm fine to get a tattoo. That doesn't mean everyone with these diseases is cleared, that means I am. Ask your doctor.

So I went and got my tattoo. Its my zodiac signs (I'm on a cusp). Its just a tiny little thing on my wrist. I didn't have problems with bleeding or anything while getting it, and it is healing nicely. I don't have to do anything extra for upkeep or anything.

It gives me a feeling of normalcy. I can get a tattoo like anyone else. I don't even have to do anything special for it. Well here is my tattoo:

I'll keep up on if I have abnormal problems but I don't think I will. Well its been an adventure and I hope anyone reading this for info got something out of it. Toodles :)
